I'm doing a series of animal paintings for my upcoming show, and I loved this photo of a lion I found online. The lighting wasn't what I was looking for though, so I worked on him in Photoshop till I got it right. I'm happy with the way he turned out. I find that I use my technical skills a lot with my painting. I usually set up a still life and then photograph it, as the light often changes while I'm painting, and I want it to be consistent. You don't really think of technology when it comes to the age old art of painting, but I use it quite a lot.
