Show at Stockade Oriental
Well, the last couple of weeks have been very busy - with my one man show on August 2nd, at the Sorelle gallery, to yesteday's show with several other artists at the Grand Opening of the Stockade Oriental Rug Gallery both in Saratoga. I regret that I didn't take any photos of the first show - I was just too busy, so I made sure I took some last night. This photo is of Sandy Alto Pelletier on the left, myself, and Jeanne VanPatten on the right. They are the proprietors of Sorelle Gallery. They have been doing a wonderful job promoting my work, and have been wonderful to work with. So far, after only about a month, they have sold 8 of my paintings, so I'm very pleased. In the meantime, the Muse gallery in Rockport informed me that I have sold 3 more paintings there. This has been a very good year so far. I am preparing to go to Rockport for 11 days, on what was supposed to be a vacation, but I think I need to be doing some painting. I was delighted that so many of my friends and family came to see my one man show last weekend, it was a delightful night. I am feeling very blessed that my work is being received so well, and who knows - maybe I'll sell enough paintings to breeze through the winter fuel bills! Since I live in a big old 19th century house - I use a LOT of fuel!
