Chiaro di Luna 36 x 48 SOLD

The gallery in Saratoga wanted me to do a large equine piece, as they are trying to dress a new condo lobby in Saratoga. It's supposed to be modeled after the grand old hotels of Saratoga, so she's assuming they will need some large equine work, and wanted to have one to show up front. This is my biggest piece to date, at 36 x 48. It was actually fun to do. In my early days, I used to do a lot of large paintings. but with the cost of materials lately, I had gone mostly for smaller pieces. There are two schools of thought - one is that people are buying mostly smaller pieces with the economy as it is, but another is that if they do buy a painting, they want one that has a big impact on a room. Certainly this would do it. Sandy has agreed to get the frame for this piece, so that will save me the $100 or so dollars up front for that. So I show it here without the frame.
